Summer Camp and Daycare Entertainment Near Rochester
For a camp or daycare special-event day near Rochester, we bring a foam party or a hands-on Bubble Experience to you. Choose by group size: the Bubble Experience serves up to 100, Small Foam up to 50, and Large Foam over 50 guests. Book early: popular dates fill quickly.
Why a special-event day fits a summer program
A summer camp or daycare calendar runs on routine. Arrival, activities, lunch, rest, and pickup repeat all week, and that rhythm is good for children. A special-event day breaks the pattern on purpose. It gives children something to look forward to and gives families something to ask about at pickup.
ROC in the Bubbles is a Rochester business, owner-run by Elyse Boress, and we bring the event to you. A foam party fills an open outdoor area with foam from a commercial-grade foam cannon, set to music on high-end audio. The Bubble Experience sets out hands-on bubble stations with DIY wands and an on-site bubbleologist.
We work with camps, daycares, preschools, and rec programs in Monroe and Wayne counties, with travel available throughout Western New York. Every foam package includes the cannon, professionally operated, plus full setup and cleanup. Your staff can stay focused on the children instead of on the equipment.
Book early: when camps and daycares usually plan
Camps and daycares often start planning summer events early in the year. That is when many directors set the summer calendar and prepare the information that goes home to families. In Rochester, that means planning summer while there is still snow on the ground.
Booking early also lets you print the event in your summer schedule, so families know which day to pack a towel and a change of clothes. If your program runs week by week, you can place the event where it will matter most, such as an opening week or a final day.
Early booking helps your staff as well. Once the date is set, you can plan the rest of the day around it. Think of a lighter morning, an earlier lunch, or a quiet activity afterward while children dry off. Your counselors or teachers walk in knowing the plan instead of learning it that morning.
If your date is close, ask anyway. Send us a first-choice date and a backup, along with your expected head count, and we will tell you what is still open.
Matching the format to your group
We offer three formats, and group size is the simplest way to choose. Start with a head count of everyone taking part, then compare it with the guest range for each package. Each package covers a first hour of play. See our packages for current pricing and for adding time.
The Bubble Experience serves up to 100 guests. It sets out up to 15 hands-on bubble stations with DIY wands, a pro bubble machine, our special ROC bubble juice, music, and an on-site bubbleologist. For a group larger than 100, ask us.
The Small Foam Experience serves up to 50 people, which fits a single camp group or a smaller daycare. The Large Foam Experience serves groups of over 50 guests, and we customize the number of foam cannons to fit your event. It is made for schools, camps, daycares, and community events. Both include a commercial-grade foam cannon, professionally operated, high-end audio, and full setup and cleanup.
Your staff know your children best. If you are deciding between two formats, tell us your head count and the space you have, and we will talk it through with you.
| Format | Guests | What's included | Best fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bubble Experience | Up to 100 | Up to 15 hands-on bubble stations with DIY wands, a pro bubble machine, ROC bubble juice, music, and an on-site bubbleologist | Groups that want hands-on stations rather than foam |

| Large Foam Experience | Over 50 | Commercial-grade foam cannon, professionally operated; high-end audio; full setup and cleanup | Whole camps, larger daycares, and rec program events |
What directors and organizers have said
Two organizers who work with young children described their events in their own words. Mandi wrote about her preschoolers:
“ROC in the Bubbles did the most amazing interactive program for my preschoolers. Elyse was engaging and responsive to my families, and I received an incredible amount of positive feedback! We will definitely have ROC in the Bubbles back!” (Mandi, Temple Beth El)
Dalit hosted a foam party for the nonprofit she runs, with a wide range of ages in one group:
“I had Roc in the bubble run a fun kids activity for the non profit I run and the kids and parents were absolutely thrilled! I had kids from the age of 3 to the age of 11 running around in the foam absolutely loving it.” (Dalit, Brighton)
Both reviews mention the families as well as the children. For a director, that is a fair measure of a special-event day: it goes home with the children at pickup.
Planning checklist for your event day
Use this list when you put the event on your summer calendar. Most of it can go straight into the note you send home to families.
- Date and backup: choose a first-choice date and a second option before you contact us.
- Rain plan: we go ahead in light rain or wind. If we cancel because of unsafe weather, such as lightning or high winds, all payments, including the $50 deposit, are refunded or applied to a future event date.
- Outdoor area: pick an open outdoor space with room for your group to move, close to where children can change afterward.
- Outlet and water: know where your electric outlet and water spigot are, so you can show our crew when we arrive.
- Note to families: ask families to send clothes that can get wet, a towel, and a change of clothes.
- Supervision: plan for your own staff to supervise the children for the whole event. Our crew runs the equipment.
- Head count: confirm how many children and staff will take part, so the package matches the group.
Who does what on the day
On the day, the work splits cleanly. At a foam party, our crew operates the foam cannon, runs the music, and handles full setup and cleanup. At a Bubble Experience, our bubbleologist is on site with the stations, the bubble machine, and the music.
Your staff supervise the children the entire time. That includes your usual ratios, bathroom trips, water breaks, and any child who needs a moment away from the group. Our crew runs the equipment and does not take over supervision, so plan your staffing as you would for any outdoor activity.
The last few minutes deserve a plan too. Decide ahead of time where children will dry off and change, and who will hand out towels. A little preparation here keeps the end of the event as smooth as the start.
